Independence Day: What Does it Mean to You?

Welcome back. It had been much busy times for some last days to me. The reasons were different. A lot has happened in the mean time. We celebrated many festivals like Teej, Shri Karishan Janmaahtmi and above all Independence Day. Why Independence Day is above all? Because atleast on this day, we remember the Hon'ble Martyrs, who sacrificed their whole life for us. Otherwise nobody has time to think the greatness of these martyrs.
But do we really regard the independence which we got by loosing our heroes? Are we really independent? Are you free to express your views? Are you free to do what you want to do? There are constraints all around us. Lovers are being killed in the name of honour killing. Senior BJP leader Jaswant Singh has been expelled from his party to which he had remained loyal throughout his life. His fault was that he expressed his views about Jinnah in his much criticised book "Jinnah-India, Partition, Independence". I do not know how much he had been true while writng this book. Perhaps, he may have researched enough before expressing his views. He may not have used such language to make his book bestseller.
This is the matter belonging to big names. We should not bother about all this. We should think of our society, family and ourselves. If we are happy, our family will be happy and so will be the society. Societies make a country. I mean to say that a nation is really independent, if its natives are happy and flourish in all fields. But we all know the situation of our country.
But do not panic. Here is a way. Do not take tension. Keep your self busy in creative works. Earn a lot of money. In this way, you will not only be financially free but also contribute to our nation.

India Votes, I remained Pappu!

The great polling show in the world's greatest democratic country India is going on and only one phase of polling is left. A great emphasis was on to make it sure that all eligible person cast their votes and be an active part in the possible change of the Government. After the election of President Sir Obama in USA it is now the turn of India on which the world is looking for any possible change.
Many campaigns were initiated to educate the people to caste their votes and to express their opinion in favor or opposition of the Government. Public holiday was declared for the purpose. The person who fails to caste his vote is called Pappu (incapable). It is practiced in all polling terms.
I am neither interested in any political party or leader nor can I do, being a public servant and in uniformed job. My aim to write this post is only to express my views that why we uniformed person who remained on duties in polling days are not able to caste our votes? Why we can't use this fundamental right? Every Government talks to consider about the polling rights of uniformed person that may be a Police man or military man or may be a member of any para military force.
In a small state like Haryana there are more than 53000 police officials. There are about 22 states and other Union Territories which all have Police personnel and other security agencies. I mean to say that more than millions of police and security person are always deprived of voting rights in every term and forced to become PAPPU and this has been the case with me also. After 1989, I have been an active worker in the polling spree. some times with cane or 303, some time with screw driver tangling with radio equipments or some time with computer. But I hardly remember, that I had ever casted my vote.
I know it doesn't matter much whether I or some one other voted or not. We have no choice to select one for sending in Parliament. We have same faces all around us in all elections. New good person can not take part in any election as it costs a lot in India. We are far behind then developed countries like USA where we can use technology and internet for voting to save a lot of public money. Atleast it can be tried for casting of vote of security person who are enganged in polling day and can't cast their votes.
Yes, these were my personal views, and there will hardly any person who will heed to these views. Life is running and remain running. I am not so much bothered about this. Dal Roti Dot Com

Hello friends!
Welcome back! First of all I will like to apologize for my infrequent posts. I have been too busy for some past months. Yes in this time I had a chance for a short visit to Punjab cities Jallandher and Amritsar. I had a chance to pay my prayers at Golden Temple the famous place of Sikhs, the Wagha border retreat parade, the historic Jalianwala Bagh in Amritsar. I visited famous Devi Talab temple in Jallandher. I also enjoyed the raising day of a military ordinance core with my brother in law and my host.
In this visit I saw a signage on a roadside dhaba. I was surprised to see the name of the dhaba (restaurant) i.e. dalroti.com. My Indian friends much know about the meaning of dal roti. For the readers who are not familiar with the term dal roti, I will like to tell that in India this is the synonym of the bread and vegetable or the food, the basic need of every creature on the earth.
The name dal roti.com gives a sense of feeling that India is really shining and even a road side dhaba owner is now using the term dot com.
We all work for earning so that we may get food on time along with other facilities of enjoying our lives. No one can think of any happiness with empty belly. So we work or have to work. Nature of work may vary. Some work in the farms and produces vegetarian products like grain and pulses for all of us. Some work in offices, industries or markets. All have to work.
These days the technolgy has also provided a platform for working at home with help of a computer and a good internet connection. No more commuting, no more bosses, no hurry to go in the office on time.

Cable TV or Satellite Tv! Which one is better?

We spend a lot of time in front of our TV sets in our drawing rooms viewing our favourite channels. Gone are the days when we have little choice for channels to select and view. We have to watch only which was telecasted by only a few telecasters. Now we have thousands of channels to select. This is the era of consumer and competition. This has become viable due to development in technology.
Now we have the option to choose from two television broadcasting systems. These are well known as Cable TV and Satellite TV. Both use different broadcast technologies and offer different benefits. Let us see which one is better.
In Cable TV system channels are broadcasted through coaxial cables and optical fibres using RF (Radio Frequency) signals. You need a set top box or cable box to see the channels on your TV. It is commonly used in the countries where transmission through space is difficult. On the other hand in Satellite TV system signals are transmitted via communication satellites, that acts as a amplifier for the signals and also as a repeater. In this system parabolic dish up link antenna is used to transmit the signals towards the communication satellite. The transponders on the satellite receive the signals, amplify them and retransmit them using down link frequencies. These are again received by the earth station and distributed to our TV sets after sufficient amplification. Quality of video and sound is always better in case of satellite TV system as digital signals are broadcasted where as in cable TV system analogue signals are broadcasted. It supports high definition TV programming. More number of channels can be enjoyed using satellite TV with much clarity and quality and that also with much less monthly subscription fee. The only drawback with satellite TV system is that it needs clear sky for good quality reception of channels.
