India Votes, I remained Pappu!

The great polling show in the world's greatest democratic country India is going on and only one phase of polling is left. A great emphasis was on to make it sure that all eligible person cast their votes and be an active part in the possible change of the Government. After the election of President Sir Obama in USA it is now the turn of India on which the world is looking for any possible change.
Many campaigns were initiated to educate the people to caste their votes and to express their opinion in favor or opposition of the Government. Public holiday was declared for the purpose. The person who fails to caste his vote is called Pappu (incapable). It is practiced in all polling terms.
I am neither interested in any political party or leader nor can I do, being a public servant and in uniformed job. My aim to write this post is only to express my views that why we uniformed person who remained on duties in polling days are not able to caste our votes? Why we can't use this fundamental right? Every Government talks to consider about the polling rights of uniformed person that may be a Police man or military man or may be a member of any para military force.
In a small state like Haryana there are more than 53000 police officials. There are about 22 states and other Union Territories which all have Police personnel and other security agencies. I mean to say that more than millions of police and security person are always deprived of voting rights in every term and forced to become PAPPU and this has been the case with me also. After 1989, I have been an active worker in the polling spree. some times with cane or 303, some time with screw driver tangling with radio equipments or some time with computer. But I hardly remember, that I had ever casted my vote.
I know it doesn't matter much whether I or some one other voted or not. We have no choice to select one for sending in Parliament. We have same faces all around us in all elections. New good person can not take part in any election as it costs a lot in India. We are far behind then developed countries like USA where we can use technology and internet for voting to save a lot of public money. Atleast it can be tried for casting of vote of security person who are enganged in polling day and can't cast their votes.
Yes, these were my personal views, and there will hardly any person who will heed to these views. Life is running and remain running. I am not so much bothered about this. Dial Up Connection for BSNL GPRS (Motorola L6i)

Hello Friends! Welcome back. I know some of you may be connecting to internet through mobile. I described a problem I faced with BSNL GPRS, and solution for that. In this post I am giving steps to make an intenet connection for BSNL GPRS through Motorola L6i Mobile.
First of all install the software on your computer that came with your Motorola Phone CD. You will have to insert the CD into CDROM and follow the instructions on your screen as this is an autoplay CD. After installing the software you will get an ICON "MOtorola Phone Tools" on your desktop. Now follow the following steps.
1. Click on Motorola Phone Tools Icon.
2. Choose profile "Default Profile" and click on O.K.
3. This will show photo of your mobile on desktop after searching and installing it.
4. Click on "Internet Connection" button.
5. It will open Internet connection wizard.
6. Click on next.
7. Give connection name of your choice.
8. Choose country or region as from drop down list.
9. Service provider will automatically be chosen as . Click on next.
10. Leave GPRS selected. Click on next.
11. Leave username and password blank.
12. In the APN text box type "gprsnorth.cellone.in"
13. Click on next-next until finish screen. Click on "finish" to end the wizard.
14. Start the connection and enjoy internet surfing.

Connecting to Internet

Hello Friends!

Welcome again. How do you connect to internet? There are various methods for connecting to internet. You can have Broadband connection. It is the best and these days affordable also. You may choose Broadband speed according to your pocket. You will be given Broadband connection through ADSL (Assymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) on which you can make voice calls also simelataneously. You may choose 128 kbps, 256 kbps or 512 kbps (kilobit per second). Necessary equipment CPE (Consumer Premises Equipments) may be provided by Service Provider or you may purchase your self also. Broadband connection have many benefits e.g. Download/Upload speed is much greater than all others. You can video chat/audio chat without any interruption. This gives the real time experience.

The other option is Dial up connection. This is cheap but speed is much less than broadband. You may have most of 56 kbps. Text data can be easily downloaded and uploaded. But for graphics (Picture, video, photos) related works dial up connection is not recommended. You will need Modem for dial up connection. Modem may be internal or external.

The third option is using your mobile for internet. This lies in between these two earlier described. Speed may depend upon service provider. BSNL is providing 230 kbps. Although it is theoritical speed. Practical speed is much less than this. But it gives satisfaction as it is cost effective and you can carry your connection where ever you go. You will need GPRS enabled mobile phone. And you can access web, your emails with it on your mobile itself.

Tutions through internet

Is it safe to send our children out for tutions. No, as the times have changed. At this time no body is safe. We hear and read news about abductions, sexual harrasments and other physical tortures to kids and teens going to school also. Then what is the alternate? Studies at school in classrooms are not enough for a child's good score in this age of competitions. Then we have only two options left.
1. Hire a tutor for home tutions: Home tutors are available in every area. But everybody can't hire them as they charge a lot for home tutions and finding and hiring tutors for all subjects is a tedious work.
